Corporate Social Responsibility
Our company believes that corporate social responsibility (CSR) plays a significant part in long-term sustainability, not only for our business, but for the economy in general. We have developed a policy that outlines our approach to CSR across the following dimensions:
––1. Environmental Sustainability
––2. Local Economic Sustainability
––3. Public Service and Community Involvement
1. Environmental Sustainability
Clearlogic Consulting Professionals is committed to using resources wisely and responsibly. We promote an inter-office policy that is appropriate to the nature, scale and environmental impacts of our business. Wherever possible:
- We use secure electronic files instead of hard copies to transmit information;
- We print double-sided pages to minimize paper usage and waste;
- All waste is recycled or disposed of in an appropriate manner;
- We use energy efficient equipment and technology;
- We schedule and combine activities in geographical regions to ensure that the impact of transportation on the environment is minimized;
- We recycle office stationery;
- We regularly review the environmental impacts of our business, and seek opportunities for continuous improvement.
2. Local Economic Sustainability
We recognize that supporting our local retailers and store-owners is important if we’re going to have a role in helping our community thrive and prosper. We are proud and active members of the local Chamber of Commerce, and wherever possible:
- We buy stationery and other consumables from local suppliers;
- We accept a reasonable price premium in order to purchase equipment and after-sale services from local small business owners;
- We nominate exceptional local suppliers and individuals with whom we do business for annual awards through such organizations as the Chamber of Commerce and Northern Ontario Business.
3. Public Service and Community Involvement
We’re strong believers in the powerful role that individuals can play in community development and sustainability. We think it’s important to give back to the community, and we are currently involved with or have volunteered for the following organizations:
- Ontario Parks Board
- The Ontario Trillium Foundation
- KidSport
- Queen’s University Monieson Centre Research Funding Committee
- Canadian Red Cross
