Charlotte MacFarlane

For over 20 years, Charlotte MacFarlane has applied her education and skills in a range of organizations in the public and private sectors. During that time, her focus was municipal and health policy development and analysis. Charlotte built on a foundation of award-winning university public speaking in each of her employment experiences, most recently by delivering training regarding mental health in the workplace throughout Northeastern Ontario. Through that program, she provided support to a diverse range of organizations by developing the capacity of executives and managers, union representatives, and employees at all levels.


Charlotte has studied at St. Francis Xavier University and the University of Nice in France. She received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science with honours and a Master’s degree in Public Administration, both from Queen’s University.

Charlotte currently supports her children’s activities by volunteering for the Timmins Symphony Orchestra and Geoffrey James Lee School of Music, as well as for the Melissa Kelly Dance Academy annual recitals. In the past, she served as a Founding Member and Volunteer with the Welcome to Timmins Night, and participated on the Boards of the United Way and Timmins Learning Centre. Charlotte has been active in volunteer opportunities at several local schools, assisted with a Therapeutic Riding program, and helped to organize activities for a local adoption support group.
